The site for this new summerhouse is located on the Canadian side of the Saint Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands region near Brockville, Canada. A natural rock outcropping combined with views that sweep around to the cove formed the basis for the "U" shaped plan layout which assured that every room would offer a unique river view. To be built primarily of cedar shingle siding and local stone, the exterior materials of the house will appear to grow out of the natural features of the wooded, rocky site.
